Johnson Farms has been known throughout the Agricultural and Horticultural industries since 1920.  Our 2000 acres of rich clay loam soils of Salem and Cumberland Counties of New Jersey have provided all of our crops with abundant yields and exceptional quality; quality that stems from the ROOTS.  From the days when we were a small truck farm, we learned SERVICE along with QUALITY is what will make us distinct; that philosophy is what has sustained us to continue for over  90 years.     
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
     Farming on the premise the power of any plant is in the roots, we carefully select our blends of Blue Grass and Tall Fesuce seed.  One of the premier selections used is Jonathan Green Black Beauty.  This selection is extremly drought tolerant with superior insect and disease resistance.
We are constantly working with Universities, Architects, Enginners and Park's representatives to ensure we are growing the most current selections available.  

Our automated harverster minimizes handling to
ensure the rolls are not damaged.  We have 3 harvesters that cut, roll and stack 600 square feet of our heavy rooted turf  to each  pallet. 

                                                          

Our Big Roll Harvester cuts 280' rolls 4'  by 70'.  This harvester is ideal for large projects, Municipal parks and athletic fields.
